  • World’s Most Expensive 10 Whiskies

Whisky, The Liquid Gold, is a Colorful Character with an Ever-Changing Spirit.
Made with Grain, Water, A Wooden Barrel and A Little Time.

The subject of Literature, Culture and Folklore throughout the World, Finicky Booze-Hounds have long paid a pretty penny for bottles of the most coveted casks.

Pour a finger or two and hit the jump to drink in 10Bottles of Whisky that truly break the bank.

    10. Ladybank Single Malt $4,700

Rounding out the top of the list is the Ladybank Distillery in Edinburgh, Scotland. Only 300 bottles of the rare Single Malt Scotch are bottled each year, and to obtain one – you have to become a member of the club. The price of admission? – about $4,700 a year.

    9. The Macallan 1947 Fine and Rare Collection $6,800

This sherry cask Speyside scotch was bottled for Italy in 1962 before it was repackaged for Macallan’s Fine and Rare line of whiskies. The distillery used peat in its kilns because of the scarcity and high price of coal during WWII, the 1947 bottle, so this 15 year old has an earthy quality not present in modernMacallans. This sherry cask Speyside scotch was bottled for Italy in 1962 before it was repackaged for Macallan’s Fine and Rare line of whiskies. 8. Chivas Regal Royal Salute 50 year old $10,000

A swill special enough to be packaged for the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the Chivas Regal Royal Salute is a 50 year old Scotch with smoky anise and raisin flavors. Only 255 bottles were made, 10 of which were destined for America, where collectors eagerly poured out $10,000 each.

    7. The Macallan 1939 40 year old Fine and Rare Collection $10,125

“Peaty and powerful,” with overtones of sweet toffee and dried fruits, Macallan’s 1939 is a 40 year old first bottled in 1979. In 2002, it was added to the distillery’s Fine and Rare line and re-bottled. It can be found today for around $10,125.

    6. Glenfarclas 1955 50 year old $10,878

Wealthy tasters are warned to overlook this richly scented 50 year old Speyside at their own “peril.” Spicy and silky with a sweet start, this is the oldest batch ever bottled by the Glenfarclas distillery.

    5. Dalmore 50 Year Old Decanter $11,000

Only 60 crystal-cut bottles of this Highland single malt were produced. Filled in 1978, this dark sherry-aged Dalmore has a reputation for being intense and deeply flavored and is considered by many aficionados among the best 50 year olds in the world.

    4. Macallan 55 Year old Lalique Crystal Decanter $12,500

The eye-catching crystal bottle of Macallan’s 55 year old Lalique was based on a 1910 perfume bottle designed by Rene Lalique . Exotic, with hints of peat smoke, the taste is smooth with lingering citrus overtones.

    3. Glenfiddich 1937 Rare Collection $20,000

Rare doesn’t describe it. Only one bottle of Glenfiddich’s 1937 Rare Collection was ever produced, and it just might be the oldest bottle of whisky in the world. It was snatched up at a 2006 auction for a bargain $20,000.

    2. Dalmore 62 Single Highland Malt Scotch $58,000

Only a dozen bottles of Dalmore 62 single malt were corked in 1942. One night in 2005, a man bought a bottle for $58,000, and downed it with five of his buddies.

    1. The Macallan 1926 Fine and Rare $75,000

“Dry and concentrated” – what else would you expect from one of the most expensive whiskies in the world? Help yourself to a little licorice aftertaste. In 2005, a South Korean businessman paid $70,000 for a bottle of Macallan’s 1926, the finest and rarest of the Fine and Rare.

  • Bolly Actresses Who Kissed on Screen

There was a time in Bollywood (India) when our A-List Actresses stayed away from doing "Kissing Scenes" for the Camera!

But times have surely changed and today if the script demands it, then all our High Profile Actresses are ready to "Lock Lips" with their Co-Actors.

Here are a few Actresses from “B-Town” who Kissed and got Famous on Screen.

    Bipasha Basu

A veteran by now as far as kissing on screen is concerned; Bong hottie Bipasha Basu still gets the jitters just before shooting a kissing scene! After doing intimate scenes with her then boyfriend John Abraham in ‘Jism’ and lover boy Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, we feel Bips has only matured over the years.

    Vidya Balan

From her very first film ‘Parineeta’ where she did a love-making scene with Saif Ali Khan to lip-locking with Emraan Hashmi in ‘Dirty Picture’, Vidya Balan has only gotten better! Her bold performance as a village seductress in ‘Ishqya’ where she kissed Arshad Warsi was much-talked about and got her critical acclaim as well as several awards.

    Jacqueline Fernandez

A handful of films old, Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez found her intimate scenes with Emraan Hashmi in ‘Murder 2’ rather ‘technical’! In an interview with The Times of India, Jacqueline confessed she was ‘nervous and unsure’ about the scene.

    Amy Jackson

Did a multiple kissing act in ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ bring Amy Jackson and Prateik Babbar close? After we saw photos of the new lovers kissing at a party in Goa, we are just sure of the budding romance! Do you think Amy-Prateik can be touted as the latest real-life couple who are comfortable kissing each other on screen, just like John Abraham and his ex-girlfriend?

    Mahie Gill

We first saw her bold act in ‘Dev D’ with Abhay Deol, but we were stunned by her performance in ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster’ where she pulled off some really intimate scenes opposite Randeep Hooda. We wonder if real-life girlfriend and actress Neetu Chandra called off their wedding because of the same reason!

    Priyanka Chopra

Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Naseeruddin Shah – did we miss out on anyone Priyanka Chopra has kissed? *lol* However we feel Piggy Chops nails the kissing scene with Shahid Kapoor in ‘Kaminey’ and also with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Anjaana Anjaani’?

    Katrina Kaif

We cannot forget Katrina’s lip-lock with Hrithik Roshan in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and the oh-so mushy dialogue that follows! Here are two gorgeous people in Bollywood who can make us go weak in the knees with their on-screen kiss

    Kareena Kapoor

So what Kareena Kapoor was caught smooching her then boyfriend Shahid Kapoor at a restaurant years ago? We think their personal experience gave fine results when they kissed on screen in ‘Jab We Met’! But then in ‘Kurbaan’, the actress simply failed to nail the chemistry opposite her real-life boyfriend Saif Ali Khan. Shahid or Saif…who do you think rocked the kissing scene with Bebo?

    Anushka Sharma

Whatever you say, we think Anushka Sharma’s kiss with her ex-flame Ranveer Singh in ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ is by far the best one we have seen in recent times! The chemistry is evident and so is the genuine love the couple once shared.

    Esha Gupta

A three-film contract with Mahesh Bhatt’s Vishesh Films has taken former Miss India International Esha Gupta’s career to new heights! And with ‘Jannat 2′ all set to hit the screens, fans are awaiting the hot kissing scene between Esha and ‘serial kisser’ Emraan Hashmi. News has it that the bold actress had a bit of a task doing the scene as she was ‘nervous’!

  • Migration of Red Crab of The Christmas Island

Most Famous Crab Of The Island Is Christmas Island Red Crab Gecarcoidea Natalis – Dominating Animal Species In Forest, Endemic Species Met Only On This Island.

In total on island live 50 – 100 million of these crabs what represents unprecedented density of land crabs in the world.

As early settlers have not reported about unusual numbers of these crabs, it is possible that their number increased after extinction of it’s natural enemy – Maclear’s rat (Rattus macleari).

In 19th century these rats were everywhere on the island but went extinct in early 20th century after invasion of black rat and epidemics.

One of the impressive sights not only for Christmas Island but for whole world is yearly migration of red crabs.

It seems that migration takes place in the time when there is least difference between low and high tides – then it is safer to lay eggs.

Migration starts on plateau, lasts up to 18 days. Crabs gather in broad columns and repeat the same route each year.

They prefer to go in early morning or late afternoon – to avoid direct sunlight.

The biggest danger to them is direct sunlight and heat

but the rains and moist overcast conditions make their journey long and difficult too.

To save the crabs, on the roads there have been developed special crab crossings and plastic walls, funneling them to these crossings.

Sections of roads where crabs cross in high numbers are closed to vehicles for short periods.

But there is another deadly enemy – invasive Yellow Crazy Ant (Anoplolepis gracilipes).

It is the main reason why the number of red crabs is decreasing,

although numerous other species of introduced animals are changing the ecosystem too.

Since 2000 there is on-going extermination of

the super-colonies of crazy ants all over the island,

    decreasing their number per 99%.

  • 10 Famous Female Bank Robbers

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were well-known outlaws, robbers and criminals. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed in Louisiana by law officers.
Law enforcement officials had dubbed Sylvete Phylis Gilbert the “Church Lady Bandit” as a witness said she looked like someone who had just come from church.
Heather Johnston and Ashley Miller quickly became known as the “Barbie Bandits”.
Kate “Ma” Barker was the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker Gang.
Martinez was dubbed the “Cell Phone Bandit” for chatting on the phone with her boyfriend during the heists, which netted the couple $48,620.

    1. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker and Clyde Chestnut Barrow were well-known outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. Their exploits captured the attention of the American public during the “public enemy era” between 1931 and 1934. Though known today for his dozen-or-so bank robberies, Barrow in fact preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations. The gang is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders. The couple themselves were eventually ambushed and killed in Louisiana by law officers. Their reputation was cemented in American pop folklore by Arthur Penn’s 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

    2. Sylvete Phylis Gilbert

Sylvete Phylis Gilbert, 46, finally got caught after a long string of bank robberies in the Columbus, Ohio area. Law enforcement officials had dubbed her the “Church Lady Bandit” because a witness in one of her early robberies said she looked like someone who had just come from church. She was charged on 12 second-degree felony counts of robbery and 12 counts of robbery in the third degree for robbing numerous banks and businesses between January, 2006 and December, 2010.

    3. Cora Hubbard

Cora Hubbard was a 19th century outlaw who participated in the August 17, 1897 robbing of the McDonald County Bank in Pineville, Missouri. Hubbard, who was compared at the time to the more prolific female outlaw Belle Starr, was one of only a handful of women who actively participated in the actual bank robbery process during that era.

    4. Starlet Bandit

In just one week in April, she robbed five banks in Los Angeles County, including two in one day. Law enforcement authorities gave the glamorous nickname despite her frumpy appearance — a casually dressed, hefty woman in sunglasses, carrying a shoulder bag and holding a cell phone to one ear. In May, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told the Los Angeles Daily News that two women were in custody in the case and investigators believe that the Starlet Bandit may have actually been several women, not just one.

    5. Barbie Bandits

Heather Johnston and Ashley Miller quickly became known as the “Barbie Bandits” after their February, 2007, holdup of a Bank of America branch in Acworth, Georgia. The girls, who met while working at a strip club, plotted with Johnston’s boyfriend, Michael Chastang and a bank teller to pull off the heist. Miller was sentenced to two years in jail and Johnston to 10 years probation, getting a lighter sentence because she was the first to cooperate with the investigation.

    6. Bank Robbin’ Mama

Erica F. Anderson was apparently trying to multitask on the day she was arrested for robbing the Umpqua Bank branch in Grants Pass, Ore., in September, 2010. The 37-year old mother of five pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to robbing two banks in Temecula. That’s when she was sentenced to two years in prison. She was released on $25,000 bail and ordered to surrender to authorities in January.

    7. Kate “Ma” Barker

Kate “Ma” Barker (born Arizona Donnie Clark; October 8, 1873 – January 16, 1935) was the mother of several criminals who ran the Barker gang from the “public enemy era”, when the exploits of gangs of criminals in the U.S. Midwest gripped the American people and press. Ma Barker certainly knew of the gang’s activities, and even helped them before and after they committed their crimes. This would make her an accomplice, but there is no evidence that she was ever an active participant in any of the crimes themselves or involved in planning them. Her role was in taking care of gang members, who often sent her to the movies while they committed crimes.

    8. Candice R. Martinez

College student Candice R. Martinez was 20 when she was sentenced to 12 years in prison in March, 2006 for robbing four Wachovia bank branches in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. Seven years of that sentence were for pulling a revolver during one of the robberies. Martinez was dubbed the “cell phone bandit” for chatting on the phone with her boyfriend during the heists, which netted the couple $48,620. Martinez, who had worked for Wachovia prior to the robberies, apologized to the bank tellers when she was sentenced.

    9. Beauty Salon Bandit

Beauty salon owner Norma Balderas-Dehernandez started holding up New Jersey banks in January, 2009. By May of that year, the mother of three had hit three bank branches, netting a little over $8,000. In each robbery, she’d hand a note written in Spanish to a Spanish-speaking teller, demanding money. he was sentenced in July, 2010 to 30 months in federal prison.

    10. Patricia Hearst

Patricia Campbell Hearst Shaw, the granddaughter of publishing titan William Randolph Hearst, made headlines in 1974 when an urban guerrilla group, the Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapped her from her Berkeley, Calif., apartment. Two months later, she was caught on surveillance cameras robbing a San Francisco bank while brandishing an assault rifle, having apparently taken up her captors’ cause. At her trial, her attorney claimed Hearst had been brainwashed by her captors, but the effort didn’t work and she was convicted in March, 1976. She served almost two years before President Jimmy Carter commuted her seven-year sentence. President Bill Clinton granted her a full pardon on the last day of his presidency.

All Ten of Animated Feature Films.
    1. Buzz Light Year

Movie: Toy Story ( IMBD )
Okay then, I know how popular and beloved Toy Story is, as a character for you too. Space Hunter with a short memory and little sense of reality may be.

Cool Mouse to explore the underrated animated film that Steven Spielberg was behind.

    3. Dopey

Film: Snow White and the Seven Dvärgarn a (1937) ( IMDB )
Think it Dopey must be one of the most famous characters of all time. Nice to be able to bring someone from the world’s first animated feature film.

    4. Wall E

     Film: Wall E (2008) ( IMBD )
The list would be incomplete without something Wall E, the robot in the movie of the same name, or what do you think?

Movie: Alice in Wonderland (1951) ( IMBD )
Unforgettable Cat from Alice in Wonderland, Walt Disney’s best films.

    6. Scratch

    Movie: Ice Age (2002) ( IMBD )
Saber-toothed squirrel, did not know it was like that before I saw the Ice Age. Jojo, you can learn a lot of animated films. Scratch must be one of the world’s most stubborn characters ever.

Movie: The Secret of NIMH (Brisby and Nimh Secret, 1982) ( IMDB )

    9. Jessica Rabbit

    Film: Roger Rabbit (1988) ( IMBD )
If perhaps not cool as Roger Rabbit must still be the luckiest rabbit. Jessica is pure bombshell. Jessica Rabbit must absolutely be the cartoon character who has given most little boys his first ståfräs.

    10. Totoro

Movies: My Neighbor Totoro (1988) ( IMBD )
Which animal is Totoro is a common question about cartoon characters. Everything and nothing is the answer, a mixture of lots of different animals, entirely created by Miyasaki. A cozier and more cuddly character you have to look for. (It could possibly be Jessica Rabbit then.)
